The Anahata or heart chakra is said to be a center of energy located in the channel of the spine, close to the heart. The heart is the fourth of the seven primary chakras and it is the bridge between the lower part of triangle (the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras) and the upper part of triangle (throat, third eye and crown chakras).. It is believed that this circle of prana, or life force energy, has an activation point

in the center of the chest and when it is activated there is immense benefits on a physical level, the heart chakra responds to the heart, lungs, immune system, and muscles of the upper body. On a spiritual level, opening the heart chakra fills you with love, forgiveness, and compassion. . When Anahata is not taken care and when it is blocked , it affects the entire body with lots of different issues critical for life and poor functioning of it requires check up and the 1st step of it is ECG which is done to diagnose the Heart rhythm and activity and check the functioning and ability to cope up with the change outside.

Similarly Organizational Health is an organization’s ability to function effectively, to cope with change appropriately, and to grow from within which results in high performance. Since many years most of the Organization are skewed towards their shareholders and it is popularly known as Shareholders capitalism as one of the very important force energy similar to Anahata is missing in the Organization , the Purpose ( The reason of your existence). Purpose acts the same way and remains in centre and when cultivated properly it balances the 3 most important basic elements called ECG which is inspired by 3 MIQ from Vishen Lakhiani.

My version of MIQ for Organization is detailed below-

E stands for experience an organization needs to have to differentiate itself from others and the underlying question for this goal is What gives you the competitive advantage. The main elements for experience are Product, People and Process

C stands for contribution not just limited to interest of employees and leaders of an organization but for greater good of community & society and the underlying question for contribution is What do you give back to change the world a little better. The main elements for Contribution are Social, Environmental and Economy.

G stands for Growth and this intends to growth of all the stakeholders together and the underlying question for this Goal is What value proposition you create for the business to grow. The main elements for Growth are Customer, Profit and Investors.

As shown in the picture, Purpose sits in the centre and it plays a role of balancing all the elements around it and does not let skewness to happens and helps the Organization move towards Stakeholders Capitalism which is the need of the hour today. ECG is a Framework to understand the balance aligned to the purpose of the Organization.

On one side we know that we are in one of the best era full of innovation with exponential growth and digitally connected to each other but on the other hand the world needs our contribution as Individual and as an Organization more than ever with huge issues like deforestation, Natural resource scarcity, Pollution , Poverty, Aging population and many more. We know that Governments and NGOs are not sufficient if they work with full intention which also has less probability and COVID crisis has truly reflected that again and again.

It is high time we need to take the responsibility, Cultivate our Purpose as an individual and Organization to balance the basic elements and focus also on better experience and contribution along with the growth of the business.
