Purpose Discovery Journeyâ„¢ | Purposegenie
A Purposegenie Program · Ages 8–15

Help Your Child Discover Themselves Before the World Defines Them.

A weekend journey that helps children uncover their natural strengths, build confidence from within, and find purpose — long before exams, careers or peer pressure try to define who they are.

Purpose Discovery Journey™ 20 Weekend Sessions Max 10 Children per Batch No Exams. No Rankings.
Every child, discovering their own strengths
No Exams · No Comparison
20 Experiential Sessions
The Gap No Report Card Shows

Children spend years learning subjects. Very few hours learning themselves.

Schools today teach Mathematics, Science, Coding, AI and Languages — and rightly so. But almost no time is spent on the questions that quietly shape a life.

What Rarely Gets Taught

Self-AwarenessEmotional SkillsStrengthsContributionPurpose
"Who am I?"
"What am I naturally good at?"
"How do I manage my emotions?"
"How can I contribute?"
"What problem in the world would I love solving?"

Purpose Discovery Journey™ was built to make space for exactly these questions — before the world starts answering them on a child's behalf.

"Our promise is simple: to help your child discover who they are — before the world tells them who they should become."

The Purposegenie Philosophy
Our Belief

We are not preparing children for exams.
We are preparing them for life.

Every child already carries unique strengths. When they understand those strengths — and learn to use them in service of others — confidence, purpose and resilience follow naturally. That is how Purposegenie has always defined purpose, and it's the definition we give to children too.

Purpose, in simple language
Helping others through your strengths.
The Program

A journey, not a curriculum.

Designed to be experienced, not memorised — in a small circle where every child is seen.

Growth, Not Grades

This is not an academic assessment. It measures growth.

Every child is assessed three times — not to rank them, but to help them (and you) see how far they've come.

Parents receive a Personal Growth Report at each stage — so you can see the shift, not just hear about it.

For Parents

You're part of this journey too

A child's growth doesn't stay inside a session room — and neither should your involvement.

Monthly Parent Insights

Understand what your child is discovering, one month at a time.

Family Purpose Challenges

Simple activities that bring the journey home.

Growth Conversations

Guided prompts to talk with your child, not just about them.

Progress Reports

Clear, honest updates at every assessment stage.

At-Home Suggestions

Practical ways to nurture your child's strengths at home.

The Purpose Project

One problem they choose to care about.

Every child explores several Sustainable Development Goals before choosing the one that resonates most deeply — then builds something real around it.

Explore

Children are introduced to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through stories and activities.

Choose

They select the one goal that feels most personally meaningful to them.

Create

They design and build an age-appropriate, real-world project around it.

Questions, Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

What age group is this program designed for?+

Purpose Discovery Journey™ is designed for children aged 8 to 15. Activities are adapted to be age-appropriate within small, similarly-aged groups.

How often does the program meet?+

It runs as a weekend program — 20 sessions in total, each 2.5 hours long, spread across weekends so it fits around school life.

What happens if my child misses a session?+

Because the journey builds progressively, we offer a structured catch-up support so your child doesn't lose the thread of their reflections. We recommend attending as consistently as possible, since each stage builds on the last.

How involved do parents need to be?+

Parents receive monthly insights, family challenges and progress reports, and are encouraged (not required) to participate in a few guided family activities. Children lead the journey; parents support it.

Is there homework?+

There is no traditional homework. There are light weekly reflection activities and Life Book entries that take 10–15 minutes and are designed to feel enjoyable, not burdensome.

What exactly is the Life Book?+

The Life Book is a premium, guided journal your child fills in throughout the program — covering who they are, their strengths, values, dreams and purpose. It becomes a keepsake they can revisit for years.

How is the growth assessment different from a school test?+

It's not academic and there are no pass or fail marks. It measures dimensions like confidence, self-awareness, curiosity and emotional wellbeing at the start, middle and end of the program, so growth can be seen clearly.

What is the Purpose Project?+

Every child selects one Sustainable Development Goal that resonates with them, and builds one age-appropriate, real-world project around it — a tangible way of applying what they've discovered about themselves.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?+

The SDGs are 17 global goals set by the United Nations to address challenges like poverty, education, climate and equality. We use them as a simple, age-appropriate framework to help children find a cause they genuinely care about.

Why is the batch size limited to 10 children?+

Self-discovery requires being truly seen. A small batch size ensures each child gets genuine attention, space to reflect aloud, and a facilitator who knows them as an individual.

Who facilitates the sessions?+

Sessions are facilitated by trained Purposegenie facilitators experienced in child development, emotional wellbeing and experiential learning — not subject teachers delivering a syllabus.

How do you ensure my child's safety and wellbeing?+

All facilitators are background-verified and trained in child safeguarding. Sessions are conducted in safe, supervised environments with clear conduct guidelines shared with parents in advance.

Does my child receive a certificate?+

Yes. Every child receives a graduation certificate along with their completed Life Book, Growth Report and Purpose Portfolio at the graduation celebration.

How long is the full program?+

The full journey runs across 20 weekend sessions of 2.5 hours each, typically spanning several months depending on the batch schedule.

What happens after the program ends?+

Children graduate with a clear direction for continued growth, a completed Purpose Portfolio, and pathways to stay connected with Purposegenie as they grow into their teenage years.
