I grew up in a world where we just followed what was told and instructed to follow the instructions , do what most of the people are doing, get a job, find a living and that is it.

Today we realize that Our inner value is completely ignored and we follow some instructions to only create economic value of an Organization as we already agreed to it on paper and in our mind subconsciously long ago.

The Main essence is One needs to just follow the instruction and don’t have to think as you get paid or receive a reward to follow those sets at some certain frequency. In most of the Organization, people are bound to gravitate towards the top and people at the lowest layer of the pyramid tends to think least and thus most of them are not really happy.

We are surrounded with Bureaucrats, Note Takers, Literalists, Manual Readers, TGIF labors, Map followers and fearful employees- Linchpin by Seth Godin

Typically we belong to a minimum 2 Organizations

Family:– Within Family, we have set of people doing different activities at different times but do some activities Jointly, have some common values and also make a Home together to live. You like or don’t like so maybe you don’t have a choice 🙂

  • Workplace:- Workplace is not the same as you have choice to opt for and change but do you really have a choice ?? you have but you need to choose from the very limited choice given to you and in most of the cases one chooses to compromise their value to follow some instructions agreed together.

With very little knowledge about Data science, IoT and Blockchain, I imagine a world where one’s Avatar is created as soon as he/she is born, and every digital footprint gets updated with all the activity done throughout his/her life at a certain frequency. Blockchain may help to secure the data of Avatar which Can’t be tempered but gets updated by every person he/she is associated with maybe friends, Relatives, and colleagues in the Organization may be in a structured format like we have 360-degree feedback in an Organization. IoT supports updating data with all the activities via Technology one is associated with and Finally Data science helps in the analysis of the data with the help of an algorithm

If everyone has their Avatar, I can’t imagine how the world would be and it is out of my scope but I look at it to solve a problem which I really want to, which I mentioned before in the initial paragraphs about the relationship of an individual with an Organization.

Data science can help you to identify your purpose on the basis of your Past data and it is much simpler to choose an organization with a similar purpose.

The organization has access to a Secured Ledger which has all data about an individual, it will be just a matter of feeding some keywords in the Blockchain search engine and you have a list of people. If it works well Interview may not be required or it will be a very small part of the Hiring Process as one of the major things Blockchain solves is trust and in this case both the party trust each other due to available data and respect to have a similar purpose.

Since everyone working Toward a common goal and their purpose is aligned to the Goal, It may end Hierarchy or may need a very Lean Hierarchy.
Each individual will multiply the Value which an Organization needs to create as there is a set of people with similar passion to create something.

Above mentioned is an imaginary world that may or may not be possible in the recent future but when I think of today’s scenario, we still can do something as below inspired by the above scenario.

  • Understand yourself and your Personality type with multiple available tools like Flow Model by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Johari window by Joseph lift and Harry Ingham, Personal performance model from “The Decision book” etc and try to Identify the Purpose which can be more than one for sure.
  • Create Network with people having a similar purpose as yours as Nilofer Merchant says in her book Onlyness“Now that the Internet has liberated ideas to spread and scale through networks rather than hierarchies, power is no longer determined by your status, but by “onlyness”—that spot in the world only you stand in, a function of your distinct history and experiences, visions and hopes“
  • Choose an organization with a similar purpose so that there is an Interdependent relationship between you and the Organization you are working in. Both should support each other to get closer to the purpose.
  • The organization should also be cautious about the Values and Purpose of the candidate so that there can long term relationships between them.

We don’t yet know about tomorrow but today can be a turning point if one has the right choices and decisions in life which can take you to the right path to Create Val-YOU each moment.
